Travelxp to launch on Sky alongside new sister channel

Travelxp is returning to UK TV screens this August accompanied by a new sister channel: Foodxp.

While Travelxp will launch on Sky channel 185 on 1st August, a month after ceasing broadcasts on Freeview and temporarily becoming unavailable on any UK TV platform, the new Foodxp channel will launch at the same time.

Travelxp is a 24/7 channel dedicated to travelogues and factual programming. RXTVlog monitoring shows a standard definition slot is currently testing on satellite ahead of its launch, uplinked by Arqiva.

With food programmes including Fuse It With Mirvaan and  Ek Star Ingredient, Foodxp will have an emphasis on global and Asian food, offering an alternative to the UK/US centric cookery programmes on other food channels. A number of travel programmes including Backpack and Great World Hotels will also feature on the channel.

The Foodxp website is advising viewers it will launch on Sky channel 712 on 1st August 2019, part of the channel range in the Sky Electronic Programme Guide reserved for Asian channels.
