Travelxp to restart UK broadcasts in August

Travel network Travelxp will reinstate broadcasts to the UK at the beginning of next month, with a switch to Sky.

The channel was previously broadcast on Freeview, but was withdrawn from the platform at 1pm on Monday 1st July 2019, meaning that it is currently off-air in the UK.

A spokesperson for the company told RXTVlog that the channel is in a "transitional period" and will be returning to UK television screens on the 1st August - this time on Sky.

At the time of publication, the channel's website and Twitter feed still reference the now-closed Freeview outlet.

Travelxp first launched its UK service at the end of April 2018 and features a 24/7 schedule of travel documentaries. The broadcaster operates a number of localised channels to various countries around the world.

  • Not long after publishing this article, Travelxp UK confirmed on social media it will be on Sky 185.
