BritBox arrives on Netgem

Subscription video-on-demand service BritBox has been added to the hybrid TV platform Netgem.tv.

BritBox, which contains programmes from the BBC, ITV and Channel 5 (with Channel 4 programmes to follow), officially launched in the UK in November 2019 and has since been making arrangements with a number of providers to get its service on board, including all devices that support Freeview Play.

In December 2019, BritBox arrived on a number of smart TVs ahead of a full integration on all Freeview Play Smart TVs and boxes this year.

Netgem.tv boxes now become the latest Freeview Play supporting devices to get the BritBox app

Netgem's boxes combine Freeview and Freeview Play with additional channels and apps delivered via broadband, including Premier Sports, YouTube,YouTube Kids, Prime Video, hayu and Rakuten TV. A number of smaller ISPs, including Wight Fibre, Jersey Telecom and Origin Broadband provide Netgem.tv as part of their offer to customers, but consumers can also buy Netgem boxes on Amazon.
