The Love Island effect: ITV Hub reports user growth

The ITV Hub prematurely smashes 2021 user target, as latest figures show sharp rise in usage.

According to figures for 2019 released by ITV, the Hub generated over 500 million hours of viewer consumption throughout 2019, a 13% increase year on year.

Once again, ITV2's Love Island was most popular programme across catch up and simulcast on the service.

And the figures also confirm that the ITV Hub last year secured more than 30 million registered users, surpassing a target it had expected to reach by 2021.

And it appears more users are accessing the ITV Hub in the morning for mobile access to Good Morning Britain. Good Morning Britain is now confirmed as the second most consumed show on simulcast behind Love Island at number 1.
